In 120 MYF the land is hot. There are no ice caps, and most of the surface of the Earth is swamp. 30 million years before a mass extinction took place that killed off most mammals. Bats are now dominant, and flying birds are extinct. Geckos have taken over the rodent niche and the insectivore niche is taken by insectivorous mice and newly arrived Antechinus from Australia. In the Chinese swamp, something crawls up out of the water, and the world is changed forever.
Chinese Swamp: Where China once stood now is a giant swamp, made by the melting of the ice caps. China is also the birth of 2 land linneages, the land octopi and terrestrial lunged coconut crabs.
